Worldwide Knit in Public Day at Blue Haven Terralong

A one-day exhibit of locally handmade charity blankets to help locals celebrate annual Worldwide Knit in Public Day.

This will give residents and friends a wonderful chance to look at, photograph, even to sketch or draw your own images, of the best of our locally designed and crafted knit and crochet blankets.

The gentle art of crochet will also feature in a drop-in workshop in Level 6 Skylounge, with hospitality morning & afternoon tea, where residents will be able to learn or share their crochet skills, from doing basic single chain edgings around squares for blankets, to doing more complex design to corner-to-corner crochet patterns.

There will also be a Donations Table for dropping off handmade winter warmers for donating to local charities, plus a Knitting Notions display table of handmade crafting bags, yarn winders, needles and hooks for you to try out, make and use, with free giveaway Start a Yarn Kits.
